Ahhh, Easter weekend in Paris… There are the holidays, there are the long weekends, and then there are the ordinary weekends. But we have to admit that a little three-day break is always very welcome, especially in spring when the weather starts to feel a bit dreary and your body craves some sunshine! So, we’ve decided to tell you about our hotel for the Easter weekend in Paris. Because with Monday being a bank holiday, you’ll be able to make the most of a city break.

Easter weekend in Paris and in Saint-Germain-des-Prés
Whether you’re coming from the provinces, abroad or even the suburbs, Paris is a city with excellent transport links, whether by plane or train. This generally means you can spend as much time as possible exploring the city. Next, by choosing Saint-Germain-des-Prés as your base, you can easily reach your hotel on arrival via the RER B (from the airports), the metro or the bus (from the train stations). Once you’ve dropped off your luggage at Paris 6, you can explore the city, its narrow streets and chocolate-filled shop windows, and pop into our gourmet neighbours’ shops!
Easter chocolate in Paris
To mark the occasion, pop into the lovely Pierre Hermé boutique and tea room on Boulevard Saint-Germain for a little treat! Or, on the same boulevard, why not treat yourself to some chocolate sculptures by Patrick Roger or Larnicol? It really must be said that we’re spoilt for choice in Saint-Germain-des-Prés! We spend the whole year getting ready to celebrate Easter 😉
Activities for Easter weekend in Paris
Traditionally, an Easter weekend in Paris involves taking part in an egg hunt! Well, don’t miss the one at the magnificent Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, the largest in Europe. The setting alone makes it well worth a visit (or the hunt).
Easter weekend is also the perfect time to visit Chocostory, the Chocolate Museum. Young and old alike will be delighted to learn more about this treat we’re all so fond of!
Finally, why not treat yourself to a Food Tour (or gourmet tour)? You can stroll through Paris and discover some great places to eat. Choose your theme and set off on a city tour like no other. La Route des gourmets, for example, offers this type of tour.
